Según un tweet de Sawyer Merritt, lleva días parcialmente cerrada.
Según Bloomberg, Tesla está cerrando parte de la fábrica durante dos semanas.
«A los trabajadores de una línea de producción del Modelo 3 en Fremont se les dijo que su línea estaría inactiva desde el 22 de febrero hasta el 7 de marzo, dijo la persona, que pidió no ser identificada porque la información es privada. Se les dijo al personal afectado que se les pagaría el 22 y el 23 de febrero y que no se les pagaría el 28 de febrero, el 1, 2 y 3 de marzo. Se les recomendó que tomaran vacaciones, si las tenían».
Según sus fuentes, algunos trabajadores de la línea Model 3 han sido enviados a sus casas durante dos semanas, y aunque no está claro por qué, podría ser por un proveedor de piezas, probablemente Samsung. «Samsung se cerró el 16 de febrero. El estacionamiento de Fremont estaba vacío el 21 de febrero. Samsung pudo reanudar la energía el 20 de febrero. Tesla está aprovechando la oportunidad para abordar algunos tiempos de inactividad necesarios».
Hay rumores circulando de que el Tesla Model S actualizado y el Tesla Model X tienen retrasos en su producción. También afirma haber contactado a los propietarios actualizados de Model S y X que aún no han recibido un VIN.
BREAKING: Fremont has been shut down for the past couple of days. I have been in contact with a few sources that have confirmed this to me and they have provided some other info as well.

It’s unclear which lines have been shut down, but at least some Model 3 line workers have been sent home for 2 weeks. In general, the M3 workers have been instructed to make 800 M3’s per day. Some of the sources told me there is a potential part shortage from a supplier.

They speculated it was due to chip shortages. Samsung was shutdown on 2/16. The Fremont parking lot was then empty on 2/21. Samsung was able to get power resumed on 2/20. Tesla is taking the opportunity to address some needed downtime.

I was told it takes 7-10 days to resume chip production. It then takes a while to ship to Tesla so the shutdown is speculated to last about 2 weeks (early March), but it doesn’t sound like a total shutdown because I heard tonight that production is back to some degree.

Sin embargo, dice que Tesla tiene suficiente inventario para compensar cualquier tiempo de inactividad reciente de la fábrica. Así que lo de los retrasos en la producción pueden ser solo rumores.
I should also add something important. Tesla has inventory from Q4 2020 that could help offset a 2 week production stop/slowdown. What I reported isn't the hugest deal & shouldn't concern you terribly. I did feel like it was worth reporting though. Thanks for your support 🙂
